Senior Appreciation Day

Brett Walkow is truly one of a kind! I am thankful for his fun performance at our Senior Appreciation Day! No matter the age, Brett is able to find a common ground and keep with the theme that Laughter works like medicine! Brett assisted by bringing his own equipment and being so flexible in working with us on scheduling and our budget. He is a remarkable person and even stayed late to take pictures with the residents. Brett recently served as the emcee for Pan African Association’s annual benefit, Fashion Without Borders. Brett was a delight to work with, responsive to our needs, and supportive of our mission. He spoke with us a week or so before the event, having prepared himself by reviewing our website, as well as the material we sent him. He asked detailed questions and made good suggestions. At the event itself, he arrived early and was well prepared. He was a terrific host, and really put his heart into it. No one would know he had a script to follow; he really made it seem his own. His gentle humor and upbeat personality were well received and made the event both fun and meaningful. I would definitely recommend him.

Chicago Fundraiser (2016-2018)

“Fantastic Job, Easy to Work With”. Brett did a great job as our MC/auctioneer at our inaugural Cure SMA Chicago Gala of Hope! Since this was my first gala event he offered me some helpful suggestions and advice related to the live and silent auction which was much appreciated and helped us raise a significant amount of money for our cause. He showed up early, was very easy to work with and I received a great deal of positive feedback from our guests. Lumind Down Syndrome Chicago Gala (2016-2018)

As we all know with a fundraiser it is imperative that the guests “feel” the message and the passion for you to achieve your goal. Brett spent time with me prior to the event to listen and understand what I needed the guests to experience. He delivered that evening with the passion needed to raise a very high level of funds at our event. During the event, he was engaging with all the guests and enjoyed meeting my friends and sponsors.
